Thats funny of course they would advertise only one part of the stove the thickest.

I just tried ordering with ship address of Georgia. I made it through to the payment page and my price changed back to $1199 + tax. That was a no go.

Call them and order it!!!!!It will work...And if they question it tell them what you see.

Make sure that you change the store location on the web site to Bristol, VA. I live outside of Chicago and my order went thru for $649 + tax w/free shipping. I just received confirmation that my stove shipped out today.

this just seems to good to be true. I have been in the market or at least looking for something to replace the 1101 insert with. Something bigger and this is definitely that. For me it's function over form. Paint the gosh darn thing hot pink, I don't care, as long as it performs.

Instead of just ordering one today while at work I started to do some research. What is the actual size of this thing? I have seen 24" deep and 31" deep? Do you think there's any problem with installing this in a FP? I currently have a century wood stove installed in the basement FP this way. So I don't see any issues, but what do I know (shrug). I will contact England tomorrow when they are open to get some more data. But right now I'm doing all I can to NOT just order one for that price.

One other issue or road block I might have is that I will want a blower. Just for the fact with the blower on the stove will run about 100 degrees cooler and there's less chance of an overfire while I'm gone at work. But the blower will be in the FP. I can't imagine it would be that hard to mount the switch or a switch somewhere out near the front of the stove for access reasons?

Any thoughts, issues, concerns? I'm really hoping this is what they say it is. If so, I will be ordering ASAP tomorrow morning.

Thanks

The home depot version comes with a blower. It is 2 speed and that may be hard to keep as an option. Set it to on at low speed and get an outlet timer with an on/off switch.

This is what I use. You just turn the one on top of the blower all the way up and control it with this. Your problem will be that getting to the blower to clean it or replace it if you need to means pulling up the liner and dragging the stove out of the fireplace. Spelled PITA.

When did they change the blower? Mine has an infinite rheostat. Wouldn't make a difference. Set it on high and use the thingy from Northline.

The dimensions from the Englander web site are 23 1/4" W x 29 3/4" H x 31" D

Huh.... wouldn't of thought so for the price. Now it even sounds "more better" than it did before. If it gets any cheaper or better I'll drive all the way there to pick it up - lol. I'm thinking just order one and deal with it when it gets here.

Stove install in January so some time prior. What is the temperature range on that unit? I read the description and specs but no indication.

Which is with the pedestal or six inch legs. If it is still shipped with nine inch legs it will be three inches taller with them on it. And a fireplace install cries out for legs so air can flow under the stove.

No temp involved. It just speeds up, slows down or turns off the blower manually by turning the know.

I think that dealy bob of a rheostat would look better with a nice coat of black stove paint. I have to some work to get the stove in anyway so 6" or 9" legs probably won't matter. If I had my way about it though and it came with 9" legs it would get installed with 6" legs. Somehow, they would magically turn into 6" legs.

I couldn't be happier with the burn times on the 1101 it's just that it's only 13" deep. Right now I load here up before work and come home 12 hours later and throw some kindling in and she takes off. I never in my wildest dreams expected that from such a little stove. I typically load at around 250-300 on a nice bed of coals,.

So you guys running the 30, what kind of burn times you guys getting?

I get nine or ten hour burn times half loaded or not. Just gets hotter for longer with more wood. If ya just count restarting from coals I loaded to the top of the bricks last night at nine and dug out enough coals for a restart a six o'clock tonight.

A big stove with a smaller load burns the stuff for the same amount of time as a small stove with the same load. Bigger stove just give you the firepower to burn hotter for about the same amount of time.

The higher mass helps radiating heat a little longer too.

I tried again tonight and it went through with no problems. $649 + tax and free shipping
It should do well in my unfinished 1600 sq. ft. basement and the old Ashley will go into retirement. That's one more thing off my wish list.
Thanks for the heads up guys!

I just got down on the NC-30 from Brisol - under $690.00 shipped. Tough to beat that when they are bringing it to my door step!!

My local HD has 4 30's on the floor and I offered to buy it there to keep the money local but they would not honor out-of-state price match so I will save myself the trouble of off-loading it from a pickup truck and the cost of fuel to go get it.

Not going to hook it up until season ends so this will be a summer project. Expand the hearth and install the 30.

Mine just showed up today. A penske truck delivered it into my garage and waited for me to check it over for damage. It was good and he was on his way all for $649 plus tax. Already have the pipe ready to go. Just need to beef up my joists and she is ready to go into place. Now I need a discount on beer so I can get some discount labor helping me install.

Well fire up the hot pink stove paint cause I'm gonna need some. I ordered mine at work (shhhh.....) today. Surprised it went through with all the security and spam filters we have there. Low and behold a confirmation email was waiting for me when I got home.

I thank everyone for the heads up. This is gonna do all I wanted and more. With mine going in a FP I've already drawn up (me is an engineer) an extender of sorts on the back fin/deflector to help direct the air out into the room when the blower is on.

I wonder with this delivery method will they deliver if no one is home. It's only me here and unless it comes on a Friday or weekend I can't get here.

Woof

Pulled the trigger, $649.00 plus 18 dollars tax!

That store in Bristol va is probably setting a record for nc30's sold, lol

Got the stove I wanted for a great price, thanks guys

Yes they will deliver if you're not home. I told them I was gonna leave my garage open and for them to put it in there in case I couldn't be there. They gave me a half hour courtesy call and I got there in time. I think they will kinda work with you as to when they bring it. I got mine installed last night by the way. Looks good.

I too just took advantage of this deal! I've been searching for months, visited numerous stove shops, I'm really excited to get this installed!

Quick question for those who have received theirs via online ordering... I noticed the in-store model had the small blower included with it, do you get that as well when you order online?
