These are some of the rounds I had delivered last week. I'm pretty sure they are textbook examples of some woods so if y'all can enlighten me so I can recognize some on my own next time, that would be greatly appreciated!
I'll defer yo you guys, been a long time since I've been back east.
But
1 could be yellow poplar or ash by the bark. thinner bark so I think ash.
2 I think beech maybe birch, aspen
3. cherry but spruce has similar look
4 birch, beech, aspen, maple, young cotton wood, could be high up in the tree & smooth bark could be several types
5. could be white oak, maple, ash , the round has been rolled & beat up some.
Seeing a round cut in 1/2, & the wood color & grain sure helps ID the similar barked ones.
