Feeling the Heat
I had time on my hands this morning and made many calls. Here is what I found.
Out of the 3 local Lowe's stores (@ a 10 mile radius) only one had pellets--The Bethlehem branch-Freedom Pellet? $219.00 ton

Out of the 3 HD's only one again had pellets--The Whitehall store- Stove Chow $2.09 ton

My local Ace has Lignetics for 240.00 ton, Powerhouse for 225.00 ton

R&S Hardwoods has Green team Gold for $240.00 ton

Wood Heat (new shop off 191) Great American $239.00 or Wood Pellet CO.???? for $259.00

I would think with supply and demand we should be getting better pricing????

Thought I would share.....

Jim

Making room for earth products, top soil, fertilizer, la di da !!

HDs around here are out from what I have seen and not getting any more.
Most Lowes still had GT Platinums @ 269 or Maines Choice @ 219 or 239. BUT this was as of 1 week ago.

Both Lowe's here in York, PA have no pellets. There are two other Lowe's within 25 miles or so that have inventories of ten tons or more according to one of the York stores I spoke with.

The winter bash is over, change the clocks next weekend. I am skiing this weekend, and the big stores need to make money. Think about it, time for yard work.

That's the bad news. The good news is that winter is basically over here, so I'm not too upset.

Me too if your going to the RI Show this weekend I'm in booth 613-615

I am getting geared up for off-shore fishing.

Sorry Salty, skiing this weekend. Belong to CTfisherman.com, let me know what you have to offer, send me a link to your site. Tight lines Joe

Pellet dealers still have plenty to sell. Seeing some end or season and early spring deals too!

Salty, We hit the Springfield show and the Hartford show. If we didn't find a boat, We might have went to the RI show. Off to hopefully get my boat this Saturday! But I still need to fill my stash before May. Once May rolls around, Will be on the water every weekend! Can't wait! ;-) woohoo!!!

Plenty of Wood Fibers Inc pellets in the box stores around here. Head over to Michigan and buy them up. Please???

Just fresh water lakes, no salt for me. But a friend has a striper boat out of old saybrook. We have been tempted to head out with him. But really scared I'll get the taste of salt and like it too much. Too far for me to travel to the shore from my area.

I know we are getting off the subject, I live across the river from OS and on the Black Hall River, once you go salt you will be addicted.

call all your TSC ..most have hardwood heats and the green label lig's.

I walked past the freedom fuel and got the whitehalls last bags of north americans monday am

Yep, our TSC has a huge amount of pellets - from the looks of the storage area outside it's at least 30 tons. But Lowes and HD are always out of pellets by the first of March around here.

No big deal, I never buy pellets late in the season anyway. I mean, I guess I would if someone had them on clearance price, but I've never been lucky enough to see that happen.

Been kinda out of the loop lately. OP Mentioned Stove Chow. Werent they a good pellet at a good price last summer? Have they still be a great deal or did something change?

Jim, Have you tried powerhouse or GAP yet?

Powerhouse and GAP are the same pellet, So the $225 would be worth checking out. Stove Chow would be another i'd be checking on.

Eaton, No largemouth lakes in your area. Give it a try sometime, We love catchin em! Catch and release of coarse! Only need the pictures for proof you caught em.

I've done my fair share of Large/Small mouth bass fishing, Just doesn't excite me as much as Saltwater fishing. Also done quite a bit of Walleye fishing on Lake Erie, don't get me wrong, all fishing is good fishing in my book!! ;-)
