My EKo 40 and pressurized storage tank arrived. Both the tank and EKO are larger than I pictured in my head. I only have a cherry picker to unload and I don't see a good way to lift the EKO from the top. Looks like I will have to strap all the way around it. I need to get the tank into my walk out basement and the EKO in a small garden shed with a small garage door. I plan to install over the summer. Very excited to being one step closer to no propane bill.

The shop is actually not mine. It is the shop of my workplace. It is polished concrete.

The 2" tee is a great Idea

Congrats on recieving your boiler and tank hartkem! Now the fun begins. Don't forget boiler return protection. I really enjoyed my install. But I was also really glad when it was done! Good luck. And keep us posted on progress. We love pictures.

Another EKO! Excellent. Good choice and enjoy the install.

If you use straps to lift the EKO 40, make sure you put a 2x6 the width of the top of the EKO 40 between the straps on top of the EKO 40. If you don't, you will bend the top sheet metal. I was lucky when I lifted my EKO 40 and noticed the top sheet metal start to bend when I lifted the two straps with a chain host.

Congrats !! Looks like you have your work cut out for you this summer. Do you have your wood supply ready ? How many gallon storage ? Why are some of the eko green and some gray ? Sorry If I'm asking to many questions.

I have about 6 cords already cut for next winter. I am not sure why some of the EKOs are green vs grey. Mine says EKO Super which i believe is the newer model with the newer controller.

Well after a long Saturday I have the boiler in the garden shed and the 490 gallon storage tank into position in the basement. It was very interesting trying to unload the heavy EKO off the trailer. I attempted to use an engine hoist but it was just to much for it and wanted to tip forward. I called up my neighbor who brought over his 30 something horsepower kubota with a front end loader. We strapped the loaded bucket to the 2" tee screwed to the EKO outlet, lifted up, and the back wheels off the tractor came off the ground!!. We got really excited because we didn't expect this to happen since the tractor was a decent size. My neighbor didn't have any implements around to use as counter weights. He knew another neighbor that had a 90HP John Deere and gave him a call. A half hour later and my boiler was sitting safely in my garden shed. He also lifted my storage tank off and placed it directly in front of my basement door on top of 3" PVC pipe so I could roll it right in. I spent 2 more hours moving the storage tank though the finished part of the basement and into the utility room. I feel so relieved to see everything in place.
