Feeling the Heat

N.Y.S.
Feel as if I had solid day playing around...Had my buddies splitter...ON the left are big splits of BL and maple, can't wait...On the right is some oak and other uglies and sutch. To quote Ice Cube, "today was a good day".

Nevermind....sigh....can't load pic from my phone...guess it never happened...sigh...

What kind of phone?

You can either take pics with a smaller resolution (settings) menu, or edit the pic you already took and reduce the size that way.

I reduce in editing with a Droid Bionic.

James02 you might already know this. Send your pictures via cellphone to your email on your computer then save and use a program like Picasa and your good to go. Then you can show us the reason you took the day off.

Go to the app store there are lots of good photo editing apps. I got one on my Droid X2 and it is quick and easy to edit pics for on here.

I've got a droid 2, I tried put it up and didn't get the error saying it was too big....but it didn't attach.

Yeah, I tried posting pics from my iPhone and couldn't get it to work. It would be sooooo much easier than sending
them to my email and.....

OK, I assume you have a photo editing app on your phone? If you do, and you made the pic smaller and it still didn't upload, try logging off of Hearth.com and clearing your cache on your phone (in the settings folder). Log back onto your google account, back onto Hearth.com, and retry to send the pic. Should work that way. Don't ever try to send a pic too large on your phone until you have made it smaller. It will be a pain to upload if you have to try again and again. Because the large version of your pic is cached in your phone's browser. Give it a try and let us know how you make out...

Don't know if it's normal, but I get a big kick out of crushing uglies with a hydraulic splitter. It just seems right to smash the crap out of 'em. (Pictures?).

There should be an "edit" function when you are looking at the pic. Click Advance Editing. Then Resize (1 MP or Small), then save.

Should be the same for the X2, Razr, Bionic. All have the same software for the most part.

Or take a new pic after you choose a smaller resolution for picture taking.

It's the same on most forums - cannot attach photos using a phone. Nothing to do with the size, just don't have the option to do it at all. Have to use a computer.

90% of my photos come from my Phone.

This was taken Saturday by my phone and posted from my phone.

Same with me. Not only pics but videos as well. Actually it is easier to do from my phone than the computer if you ask me!!

What phone do you have? On the Droid X2, the first thing you will need is a photo editing app. Lots of free ones in the app store, pick one of those and download it. Next, pick the pics you want to use and edit them down to the size required by Hearth.com. Then, go the Hearth.com, and upload the edited pictures. The "choose file" button takes a second or two, sometimes. if you already tried to load an oversized picture, you will have to clear your cache on your browser, you can do that in the Settings mode. If you don't do that, you'll never get the pics to upload. Only try to upload pics AFTER you resize them, otherwise your browser will keep trying to send the oversized picture and it will not work.

iPhone will gives you an option on the size of pic you want to create.
I could not do it with my ald iPhone and still cannot do it with my we iPhone
It is not the phone, it is something in my settings on this forum

Yeah I can't help ya on the iPhone. Contact Webmaster, maybe he can walk you through it. Maybe once this site is switched over to the new format next week it will be a little easier. I'm hoping that Craig eventually comes out with a Hearth.com app. Now THAT would be the cat's meow!!

Thanks, this is not a big deal at all!
If I really want to share pics here I just go to my computer, which is a good thing once in a while

It's not just this forum, I've not found one where I can upload photos using the iphone. Browse or select file button is always disabled.
