Would any of you guys out there consider doing something like this?

Sounds expensive. "No monetary investment" could easily translate into "low pay, long hours".

I guess I could be more constructive in my reply:

Having nationwide "contractors" is very challenging even for the largest of companies. Almost every state has different licensing requirements for contractors. And almost every state requires you to renew these licenses annually. As a result it can be exceedingly expensive for a typical small contractor to actually do work in more than one state.

In addition, boiler laws can be even more complex than most mechanical codes. This in addition to my point above might make this concept very hard to execute.

That is why this model is set up, so contractors need not worry about small territories, meaning they may service all of their existing clients throughout their state. And also they need not invest in units or parts, all they need to do is sell and install. We take no cut of the installation. They keep all they earn. We also provide sales incentives.

Currently, yes, to be honest have not even broached the subject of Canada. Not sure what the customs and shipping implications are.

How about telling folks about yourself, where and when the business started etc.

Thanks Rob,

So we started with this idea in July of 2011. In Northeast Kingdom Vermont. Burke to be more precise. I believe we represented a cross section of America, when we could not locate anyone who knew anything about gasification or the benefits. I ended up having to go to Massachusetts to purchase my unit. i couldn't believe it... now I would know where to look more locally, but still this is an area that needs some serious exposure!
So I began to call all of of the suppliers we carry repeatedly and try sell them on the idea of building a network of installers across the country. They were reluctant at first. But, if we were going to change anything for the better energy wise, we need to be able to bring the units to the people. One of the ideals is that oil and propane are so widely used because of their instant availability and vast network championing these utilities. eco-worx.net is a program that will create jobs and longstanding relationships by educating interested installers on available and upcoming technologies, as well as giving them the resources to request customer financing and make a commission on the sale while keeping the earnings of the install completely. This translates well for the consumer because they now have a very local professional that is well versed on their particular install giving them peace of mind and not having to call a stationary dealer sometimes hours away.

Our Mission statement:

eco-worx.net is a network of people devoted to supplying the public at large with available ecological solutions.

We believe in creating a community of ecological discussion, research, and education. We are working to partner with companies, organizations, and governments to educate consumers, contractors, dealers and the general public.

We intend to reach this goal by leveraging traditional advertising, social media, and our own interactive web-community.
