I've burned for 2 days over the weekend in my new 30. I love it. Much easier to control than my defiant and it throws just as much heat. What I really like about the 30 is how the heat pours out the front of the stove. My rear block wall just stays warm with it running, whereas my defiant would pump heat into the block wall behind it. Also I haven' even run the blower yet. As of right now, I wish I would have got this thing years ago.

Looks great, I pulled that trim off first thing also. I'm rather fond of the "raised by wolves" outward appearance and decor, and that was messing everything up.

When you remove the trim is it clean or does it have any divots or groves showing where the trim was?

Mine was smooth. Just needed a wipe down to remove dust that was under it.

Good.

Yeah it is just pressed on. Smooth under it when it pops off on the hearth around 650 degrees. :coolsmirk:

It will be coming off far sooner than that.

My 30 came in today too, must be all of us buying it from Bristol va, lol

The freight guys were going to leave it in my driveway untill I had my wife hand the phone to me ( I was at work)

After some not so kind words from me, they carried it into the house :)

Mike - scratches are pretty much cosmetic and will not effect the performance. all on the RH side when facing the stove and the corner of the pedistol on that side is a little curled. It looks like my stove took a pretty good digger at some point in transit. I am sure it was a poor fork truck opperator at some point but hard to tell. I am guessing this becasue the pallet was torn up in the fashion that indicates a bad fork driving.

It is down to the steel but there is nothing wrong with the stove and I am pleased. If you have the paint available PM me - may be worth covering up the exposed area.

Like I mentioned, this stove will not be burning until next fall so the Defiant V. 30 will have to wait until then.
