Someone found YouTube!!!! :p
Na, I watch this stuff a lot of the time. Mostly pro style tree cutting / felling and such. I just happen to to collect some funny/odd stuff that i thought i would share. Nobody seems to post video links so i thought i would "get out of the box" and try something new here and post a video thread. I got a lot of pro felling type vids too. Just something different for the masses.

Makes you wonder what people are thinking sometimes

That tree is a twig I would backup the backhoe and ripped it out. I love the extention cord. Not good advertising for husky electrict saws? Give me a Makita anytime. What about the idiots stand there watching that big tree come down.
Yeah get the wife out there to help drill the tree down on her knees Those idiots would face a serious fine for cutting down a tree in the street layout. ITs not even their tree.

Roo I will remember this expect payback If you dish expect to receive

Lets watch and see how Elk works the wood ........... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdJ6Ewe3Aww NOTE: this is not Elk. NOTE to Elk: just playing ole'buddy ole'chum ,ole' pal.

Nice sharp chain on that saw??
If not we'll just take "chunks" of the tree out at a time.

I like watching people push as hard as they can on a saw, and then use the sea saw method and they realy think that helps. It only takes 10-15 min. to sharpen a saw.

Or use there DOGS in the log to use the saw like a pry bar.

And she was proud of her accomplishment in chopping that tree down with a drill!!! Hey, maybe that would work for that tree in my back yard. I think I'll get out the old trusty 7.2 volt sears drill and the 1.5 inch spade bit!! Ought to take me a couple YEARS!!!

The only way that one could have better better is if it had "I'm a lumberjack and that's okay . . . " playing as background music.

Geesh, get in the car, go to a hardware store and buy a hand saw for crying out loud . . .

My question is, how the hell did they plan on bucking the tree now that they have it on the ground?

Stupid suburbanites.............................

I was wondering that too, Corie..... it's going to take a while with the drill. I wonder how the rest of the neighbors feel about dropping the tree in the road?

As noted that tree is in the street layout. They cut down a tree they don't own. That would result in a severe fine in my town plus a replacement tree. That baby looks real secure in the middle of the road? That was a a real healthy fine shaped tree

that was entertaining, i dont know which i like best, the guy falling out of the tree or the tree that had the embarrasing death by drill.

My 10 year old almost choked on a cookie when that guy fell off the tree. That was hysterical.

The see-saw method of bopping the saw up and down does seem to be common. I was watching a guy cut like 20 60' maples next to my SIL's house. The guy had a VERY fast Stihl saw (not sure of model) that was going through 14" logs like a hot knife through butter...and he was still bouncing the saw up and down....

But the smile and the pride in having beaten that monster tree with a drill was priceless.

Stinkin' funny! I loved the first one. That guy is a real lumberjack! I especially liked "How not to cut dow a tree! (I hurt myself laughing at that one!)
Being a paramedic, one things pops into my mind while watching these clips....
Job security! Hahahahaha

"I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK--I work all night and I sleep all day..."
