Some pics of the kids and our cattle from last fall. I got out our golf cart for the first time yesterday and took a trip with the family to the pasture (first 70 + degree day) and it reminded me that I had taken these pictures last summer. Thought I would share.

Our cattle are pretty tame considering they are not milkers.

Pic 1 - Gathering corn from the rows we knock over when chopping. This is a yearly tradition.

Great pictures, one of my best childhood memories was being around the cows on my grandparents farm.

Reading your post about your change in life made me appreciate having the cows and farm and stop taking all of it for granted. It could change tomorrow so I better enjoy it today!

08brute. Where do you live in SD? My son lived in Brookings for a few years working at Daktronics. Never missed a chance to get out there and visit.. South Dakota is a great state.
 
I live about 40 miles south of Brookings in a small town. I have a friend that worked at Daktronics in Brookings as well. Small world!

My son really liked living out there. Brookings is a great town. Unfortunatley he got laid off from Daktronics and had to come back to Michigan. I think he still misses it, but he landed on his feet here. Good luck with the farming I grew up on my Grandparents farm and miss it to this day.
