It is amazing how the food police is constantly telling people not to eat this or that ... but they never go after alcohol ..which is exceedingly worse than a big mac. But they won't attack something that brings in so much tax revenue ..

I have the misfortune of being an IT guy who is on-call 24/7 every other week. I must remain alcohol-free when on-call.

That being said, I am currently sitting at a bar drinking my 2nd 20 Oz Bud Light draft and may have a 3rd.

Not an IT guy but work on many network connected systems etc. As you stated, no drinks for me until I am off call.
Just finished being awake for 29hrs and 14 of it at work through the night. (Call in)
The cold brews will taste extra good tomorrow!
Try the Bud Lite Platinum. Pretty good!

A friend of mine ran across this and gave it to me. Another fun project to get up and working.

It robbed a quarter from me, this item will get disected soon.

Only drinks I ever offer any type of service person
(Plumber, electrician, etc.)
is coffee, water, soda. Don't want them screwing
up what I hire them to do.
Moderate social drinker here. Mostly stick to
beer but have been known to take a shot of
black sambuca once in a while.
Had two beers yesterday at friends house.
Trying some real "shine" is on my bucket list tho. ;)

I figured every person has a certain quantity of alcohol they can consume in a lifetime. (Some more than others) I reached my limit

X2. Plus now I don't have to worry about the local Barney Fifes on the side of the road after a night of hard, loud rock n roll!! :D

I would guess I drink on average about once/week, socially. I've been known to offer a cold beer to a worker in my house at the end of the day, although most decline.
For beer, I like the imports, my favorite being Smithwicks. When I want to kick it up a notch, rum is my liquor of choice...usually spiced (Shipwreck or Capt. Morgan)
Cheers!

Oh by the way I am a beer drinker, only a social drinker and I am very social.:D

I only drink when I have a reason, lucky for me there is always a reason (golf, poker, game on tv, end of day, neighbor stops by, etc.) and the stove just added a new reason ;-)

Well, I don't hate my parents
I don't get drunk just to spite 'em
I've got my own reasons to drink now
Think I'll call my dad up and invite him...

I had a few gallons of 10 yr old rye based alcohol which is about 100 proof given to me that was used for making blending whiskey. I`m using it as a starter fluid for my pellets. It works better than gelled alcohol since it penetrates the pellets better and it`s not any more susceptible to flashing any more than the gel itself.

Come on you know Smokey the Bear will get upset reading this, I can see her sipping fire gel while she waits for her cider to harden.

It is an awareness ad, thought it would be beneficial for us guys. Including STB. new smilies
