Looking like 40's tonight, low 30's tomorrow night and high 20's Monday night. Back to more "normal" temps for this time of year. I wasn't thinking I was actually done for the season but was hoping it wouldn't get back into the 20's! All the plants/tree's are gonna be unhappy with that!

I burned some pallet wood downstairs today to warm the house and to dry some laundry. I'm expecting more burning over the next few days. We don't use our electric heat and our furnace was disconnected two years ago.

We just had our first fire since the warm weather hit, looks like a couple of nights below freezing coming up with cooler days..

I hope I remember how to build a fire. Its been about 2 weeks. Expected overnight lows in the upper 20's to low 30's the next couple nights.

Lit one this afternoon. East wind off the ocean made it raw and damp. Toasty inside though.

Made me nervous when I heard the furnace run this morning! By mid day lit the woodstove. Nice and toasty now.

I was really tempted to start a fire tonigh because its only 70 in here but its 60 outside so it would be 100 degrees in here in no time. Weather is calling for cold night temps and possible frost next week so guess the stove will be brought out of retirement. I honestly thought I was completey done with the stove, but like always just as soon as I move the wood out of the garage for the year I usually need it. Replaced the wood in the garage with the lawn mower which has been used twice in the last week.

I had a fire going all day yesterday and again all day today. The temps are supposed to fall to -7°C overnight.

I was moving a lot of things outside today so I had the door open all day... House has been about 58 since noon. Now that it's time to go to sleep I don't want the girl to sleep in the cold so I lit up a fire. 54 degrees out and it lit up and is drafting like a champ with 16'

Started a fire for the first time in about 6 days yesterday. Got a fire going this morning - raw and in the 40's out. I also assumed I wasn't done for the year and this upcoming weeks certainly has some cold temps in the forecast - looks like fires everyday, just not sure how much I'll need to burn. If it were last year, I'd have close to 6 weeks to go.......we'll see! Cheers!

Same here.Last night I burned some pallet wood and a couple of bio bricks I had in the basement.
45::F and chilly outside, nice an warm inside.:)

Nice to have the smell of wood burning in the air again. Downside is getting the kindling together to maintain intermittent burns.

I made enough kin'lin for next year so no problem there. Started another fire this morning and will keep it going all day. Supposed to drop to -8°C tonight.

Last night was the first fire in over a week. I lit it up around 8:00 and went to get a shower. When I came down from the shower the secondaries were rolling and the wife was standing in front of the stove with a big smile on her face. She said and I quote..."I AM GONNA MISS HAVING THE STOVE NOT BURNING ALL SUMMER!" This whole family loves our woodstove immensely!

Same here.
85 degrees last week and now the old stove is going. I refuse to pay the man for oil. Well, unless the ladies of the house start complaining.

Update: Tonight 31; tomorrow night 26

I was outside in the wet for the last two days building a chicken coop, and the house was cold so I just lit the first fire in 2 weeks. It's been nice, Got the coop done without freezing, got the first two garden plots plowed and disced, and, even better, I have been working on firewood, and have a probably 2- 3 year supply cut and split, just need to stack..>>

Gone the last week w/out a fire but had a short fire last night and again tonight. Getting down to 34 tonight, up to 38 tomorrow, and down to 18 for the overnight Monday. Thinking the stove will get to stretch her legs just a bit more before the season is over.

Doesn't bother me any. Saved at least a cord of wood over my normal usage this winter (projected) and I just had a week plus of 65+ degree days. Can't do much better than that for March! Just hoping the trees and such don't get too far ahead. If the apple blossoms get frosted from getting too early a start, it'll be a sad fall.

Just fired the stove up for tonight and what a wonderful sight it is !

Just started a fire myself for the first Time in a few weeks. Low overnight will Be Around 40 And I dont want The furnace to run at all. The house Is so much better when there is a fire going.

Burned the pellet puppy in the basement for a while last night and doing it again tonight. Temp is in the fifties but it rained all night and today so damp and chilly has to go. The 30 will go to work for the first time in two or three weeks tomorrow night since we have some nights in the 30's ahead of us. The new 30 for the basement is sitting there on the pallet. I can just hear it saying "Come on boss. Get that little guy out of my way, hook me up and let's rock."

When I got up this morning it was 64 in the house. Been burning all day.
