Tree ID please?

I split the above log today and I'm not sure what it is. It came in with a load of red oak that i got but that's not what it is. It's lighter then the red oak and its either stark white or brown like in the picture. It's not poplar because I've had that before.
 
Grab clear photos of the end grain, the bark and insides of several splits. Bigger photos help too. Pretty tough to I.D from those.
