My stove made a slight bang noise not unlike the noises the stove makes from a cold start-up, only this time after 10-15 minutes the high temp reset went...and each time therafter and I noticed a lack of air blowing out of the tubes. This is when I opened up the stove and found that the blower had jumped its mounting bracket on the left side. I was able to get it attached but not completly seated in the center of the rubber washer. It did spin freely!!! Assuming that I did not blow a fuse (can't find one ???) I think I can use a stubby T20 and a philips and undo the mounting plate on the left side...pop the rubber mount in place then reattach the mounting plate and the sucker should spin again. Don't know how long or what caused it????? The stove is only 5 months old. I have burned a little more than 2.5 tons. I don't want to replace the blower now with the noisy replacement. I am hoping to run the stove for at least 2-3 more weeks and that prior to next fall Enviro will have a fix/replacement for the replacement fan they are shipping now. Hopefully.....I will here from some fokls. Bill

The fuses should be right on the control board. Not the daughter card(has the push buttons). Follow the ribbon cable from the daughter card as it leads to the control board. The fuses should be right above the white molex connector.

Sorry I wasn't sooner, Getting ready for spring. And with 70ºF weather. I am not hangin indoors too much!! The lawn was calling for weed and feed!!

thanks jtakeman!!!! I have the insert and I am only able to slide out the stove about 18-20 inches. Your saying that I should be able to see the fuse(s) up high on the right side? Ever heard of this happening or a cause? Thanks fot the reply. Bill

Perhaps if you asked a question it might have drawn a response.

Why it jumped the mount might have something to do with excess heat, heat can deform metal and cause a lot of strain on mounts in the process, repeated heating and cooling can work fasteners loose, it could have come in the box only half on, it is a device that generates its own vibrations.

There are just a few of the possibilities.

I worry not about region, but the fact that he is a Boston fan.

This has nothing to do with the fact I could not answer his question, even if he did find light and come to be a Yankee fan

Thanks Cooper! Go Soxs & Pat! Having said that.... your right...sports and politics have no place on this forum! I was able to remount my convection blower, it worked fine blowing hot air for about an hour and then started making a noise like it was trying to turn the blower but couldn't and no air coming out of the tubes. I suspect that somehow the blower has again slipped its mount. Should have no problem with the warranty but I really don't want the new replacement blower because of the proclaimed noise problems. In my dreams, they will have a fix/replacement before next fall.
Does any M55 owners have any news from Enviro on this problem? Thanks, Bill

Sounds like Yankees fan Spring Training Sabotage!!!

Weird problem Bill....sounds like the dealer better figure some things out for you. You never know...you may like the new blower....just turn the t.v. up a few notches and you'll be able to hear Don and Jerry just fine! Good Luck!

Thanks Whiago! Don't know what blower you have, but the new one apparently does a fantastic job moving more heat throughout ones house even on Heat 1. The problem is setting 2 and higher. One of the selling points of this stove was that it was one of the quietists stoves on the market. Unless someone proves me wrong, folks with the new fan ( with at least one exception or those who never had the older model) say that now thers stove is very noisy/loud. So now, a great stove/manufacturer has a real problem and I hope it can be fixed! Bill

I just put the new blower in it is not bad as far as fan noise. The stove exterior stays cool now but the motor has a hum which is agrivating. Is there any way to get rid of the hum?

not a boston fan, but i'd like t help, bad news is i dont know that stove at all so it would be a guess at best, i'll pull the manual if i can find it and chaime in when i have a better feel for the unit
