Newbe here. I am now a proud owner of a Harman Accentra FS and want to feed it well. I also have horses and use pellet bedding. Hurray for composting! I'm guessing I need 4 tons for horses and 2 tons for stove. Appears that as long as I get good quality Douglas Fir or pine should work for both. Having a hard time finding someone who can/will deliver 6 tons. Any experience with the brands below? Anyone using same type for horse & stove? Shuld I wait and buy in fall to get better prices?

Mallard Creek $250
Nature's Fuel $250
Olympus $272
America's Choice
Blazer ??
North Idaho

possibly available later:
Bear Mtn, Green Tree, Guardian

I have not used any of those, but I do know bear mtn and blazers get good reviews as fuel pellets.

Always best to try before you buy.

At least he has an alternate use for bad burning pellets. The horse probably isn't as fussy as his stove. I'd guess that a horse turns pellets into fines in several days.
