Anybody tried the ES Light bars? At double the price- ES light ;? Pros and cons? Any other 28" x .050-3/8" worth consideration?

I would go with the es. Once you get out there so long the lights have to much flex. Jmho

Thanks guys. Glad I asked. I wouldn't want to be out there cuttin' with a boingy bar like cooked noodles. The cheaper bar wins this time!
The 056 super is no lightweight. Sometimes weight matters less.

Anybody know the msrp for the (3003 000 8838) 28" ES bar? I'd hate to bid more than retail and then pay shipping on top of that (ebay)? I try to avoid the dealer as I might see something orange and white and spend a whole lot more than originaly planned ;em

I bought a 'like new' 28" rollomatic ES bar with three full chisel full skip chains (one was used three times as was the bar, two chains were brand new in the box) for 65 bucks three years ago in the local classifieds. Bough a used 28" ES on ebay last year for 40 bucks with shipping. Look around before you drop the jingle.

I've done some looking and some bidding already...still no 28incher...there's a huge white oak, 30"DBH waiting to meet 056...Might stop by the dealer in the a.m. for a price quote...If it's $70.00 or less they might make a sale. I already have (4) good 91 link chains.

go for it brother. Let me say I run the 28" easily on my 72cc 041AV Super, and it is my full-time bar on that saw. I use it for everything, saves from bending over to buck up the wood!

Stopped by the dealer this a.m.- that ES bar is $78.00 plus tax plus freight charges...AND NOT IN STOCK... I could have paid this morning and picked up tomorrow morning, but think I'll just keep lookin' round for used/cheaper....
