I had a bit of free time this morning so I took some pics . . . no pictures of my "Saab" trailer that I use to haul out the bucked wood . . . but I did take some time to post my multi-use trailer that my cousin built for me.

Right now it's set up to haul the sleds as you can see . . . but in the Summer I'll take off the ski tie-downs and use this to haul the ATVs (securing ratchet straps to the various stake pockets) . . . or put on wood sides that drop down into the stake pocket holes to haul firewood (although I often find it easier to just use my truck and make an extra run or two), mulch, dirt, manure (although that one was pretty messy to clean up), etc.

The stake pockets are also set up in such a way that I can drop the ramp (not pictured, it stores underneath the rear of the trailer in a slide "tray") in any two pockets so I can load from the rear (for sleds) or from the side (for the ATVs).

Some thought went into the design. Some real nice features.
Lightweight aluminum, no corrosion issues, haul the ATV & then have a light trailer the ATV can pull.
Your cousin is spoiling you. :)

Very nice.
Now let's see the Saab trailer.

Man I would love to have a trauiler like that for my Cobalt. Nice!

Actually it's not aluminum . . . other than the salt/snow shield and plywood deck it's stainless steel recycled from a seaweed processing plant.

What is the axle rated at? With that much sqft of area a person could overload a light axle.

Nice looking and designed trailer, for sure.

I'm not sure . . . I do know I asked my cousin to make it pretty beefy and he's taken a look at things . . . when I haul firewood I usually don't load it to the gills . . . because of the weight concerns.
