Started the little Hampton tonight for the first time in 2 weeks. Felt good.

Just starting up.

It's been kinda raw all day, here. Even had some flurries, and I don't mean ice cream. I've been keeping the BK going since things cooled off from the record heat a few weeks ago. I shoveled the ashes out and stuffed it full of oak this afternoon. Got back home about 7:30 and we were all pretty chilled, so I opened it up a bit. Haven't had it up to 700 for a while, and could smell some dust burning off. We're all cozy now, so I turned it back down, and it's cruising around 500. I love the control of this stove.

I fired up the Jotul for the first time in weeks this morning. I've been running the heat pump a little as it just hasn't been cold enough for a real fire. Down close to freezing with some frost out there.

Still in the 20s at night here, been getting nice sunny days in the 40s though, snow is melting pretty good.

Still burning here too. Not much longer. Heat's been off for better than two weeks
and that thermostat ain't budging.

Mine's been going since last Friday night. Just load a couple splits of white oak and honey locust in at 11PM every night, crack a couple windows upstairs and it stays 75 in the house with no problem. A split and a round of silver maple during the days to freshen the coals. It's been dipping down in the mid 20's to low 30's almost every night this week. I'm not ready to shut it down for the season, we're gonna miss using it all summer......:(

Still burning here at night. But tonight it is gonna burn down in another hour or so and just keep the downstairs warm. Supposed to start ramping up toward the eighties in a couple of days. I have complained for thirty years that we don't have Spring here. Most years the stove goes cold one day and the A/C has to come online the next. This year we be having a Spring. Love it!

The last two years we had record winter snows but hit 90 one day each in the first week of April. I could live with the weather we have had for a couple of weeks year around.

Raining today with temps dropping from morning high of 56f (midnight), low of 39f tonight. Looks like a 4 split fire for tonight.

Rain and wet snow predicted here for the next 4 days. got the 30 chuggin........................

... we're gonna miss using it all summer......:(

Right! I love burning too. Besides, with all that crap accumulated from the tax filings,
I could use a stove right now. Haven't used the shredder much since we bought the Avalon.

33 predicted tonight but it is so hot in here now that we may not have a fire tonight.

My wife and youngest daughter had an American Heritage Girls camp outing last night that was supposed to go through tonight. However, with everything soaked from an all night rain and temps getting into the mid 30's they packed up and went to one of the lady's house for an overnighter there instead. My oldest daughter and I are sitting in front of the Fireview and toasty warm.

Woke up to a covering of wet snow on the lawn and the vehicles this a.m.. Stayed cloudy and cold (30's) all day. Going down to 28 tonight. 30 is still chuggin'.....................................

Been nice here but the rain started two hours ago and is supposed to go till Monday with the temps only fifty with no sun in the daytime and thirties at night so the 30 will come back to life tomorrow. Was really hoping it was bedded down for the season.

Fired up again tonight. Looks like we'll need a fire the next two or three nights.
