Does anyone have any knowledge/information about Kozi Stove brand pellet stove/Fireplace Insert? I have found a used (2-year-old) BayWindow model for sale. It appears as though it is manufacturered in Canada. I am concerned about buying this stove because I cannot find any information/reviews on it - other than what is on the manufacturer's website: kozistoves.com. If you have any information on this stove to assist me in evaluating it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Cheers.

Is there a dealer locator on that website? A kozi dealer would be a good source of information. In some areas there are service technicians that service all brands of pellet stoves. If you don't have a local source for technical service I would suggest you not purchase that stove. If you are a technical type and can do the work yourself you might be okay. The Kozi is not trouble free if you don't keep it clean. If you're not mechanically inclined you shouldn't bother.

Okay, just checked. No dealer locator. You'll have to e-mail or call APR Industries to find a dealer.

Thank you for your response. I did just that - contacted Kozi/APR industries and they gave me the name of dealers in my area. Thank-you. Although we are mechanically inclined (well, my husband is) I am very leary after reading your response. I think I better spend the $$ and get a Harmon. The Kozi is $850 used.

No pellet stove is trouble free, in spite of what the manufacturer's marketing team say. But, I think you will be happier with a design like the Harman. It will cost three times what that used Kozi costs but the results will be better. You'll be cleaning that Kozi constantly. It does not handle higher ash content nearly as well as the Harman. We have sold a couple of Kozi's and we regretted it. We are constantly getting calls for help. The owners are not cleaning the stove and we get the call about a stove defect. Actually, the stove is not really defective. It works fine. But they are using high ash pellets and they aren't keeping up with the cleaning. But, the sticker price was what sold them. I've asked my sales team to stop selling cheap pellet stoves. (Actually, I chewed them out [calmly] for falling victim to the price tag negotiator). They are not worth it.
