My stove had been working just fine all winter and then just recently my feeder is not channeling pellets into my burnpot/firebox.

Also, when i go to shut the stove off, without the fire even getting started, the blower will come on for cool down mode. The only way to shut the pellet stove off is by unplugging it from the wall.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Matt

What have you done to try and correct the problem, i would first make sure there is electric getting to the auger, is the stove dirty or clean. You said you ran it all winter long and now it does not work could be that a snap disc tripped because the stove was getting hot and killed power to the auger...

Hello
If the only way to stop the room blower is to unplug the unit, that means the snap disc is bad and on some stoves it could also be a bad SCR on the control panel. I would start with the room blower snap disc. The auger not working can be not enough vacuum to pull in the vacuum switch, a bad vacuum switch or no proof of fire from a bad thermocouple or bad pof switch.
Good luck

Sounds like it could use a good cleaning, just a thought

At our store we always inform our customers that the best place to start is with a very good cleaning (and while that won't always fix the problem it is a good start) Sometimes all a stove needs is to be cleaned, but if i had to guess i would look at the snap disc
