Spent the morning cleaning my stove and plugging her up for the summer. Didn't mantage to take any video or pictures but I sure am thankful for some great tips I picked up here!

First, Unlpug stove.

Second, cleaned the stove out real good. All the access panels off, blower out, everything vacuumed. Then coated the inside and hopper with cooking spray.

Third, up on the roof to hook up the leaf blower. turn it on, then back inside to run the sooteater brush up from the "T" cleanout. All the loose stuff goes up and out! This works so wonderful!

Fourth, Plugged the OAK and vent up. Then wrote myself a note and put it in the hopper.

Need to pickup a couple tons of pellets over the summer and I will be set!

;)

Sounds like you have done this before, Nice!

I'd have mine clean if I still didn't need to use it. Back to low 20's again tonight!

Agree with Jay... Sounds good.

Its pretty cold here too... Quad just kicked on..........

Make that 3. Mine is burning right now as it is supposed to get to low 30's tonight.

Clean mine out about mid-June. :)

Last year I fired it up late in August for a cold snap we had.

Wish I could say the same, but some pretty chilly nights here in the beautiful Hudson Valley.

I have all new gaskets for the door, glass, and both for combustion blower. Also have a couple of spares plus a couple sheets of 1/8" Lytherm.....going to make some gaskets for the burn pot/cradle. I made some "quickies" out of scrap blower gasket, and they really made the fire more lively.

Now, if the temps will just stay up, I can get the beast clean and put away for the summer.

Low 20's! Agggg! Brrr!

We havn't had a night below freezing since Feburary. Once nighttime temps stayed above 45 or so I switched over to the heat pump. I'm pretty sure its cheaper at those temps.

Hope it warms up soon for you guys..

Had a layer of ice in the rain water in the wheelbarrow this morning. Two more below freezing nights predicted. Not uncommon for us to use the stove right up into June. Then I'll give it a "big" cleaning. But if we have a cold night, the stove will be back on line.

Still burning here, but really looking forward to shut down and cleaning.

30 degrees here this a.m. Stove cycled on the stat a couple of times overnight....Supposed to hit 65 today....Mid 80's by mid week........

Stove is still running almost every night, think I still got another week or two until the stove gets shut down for the summer.

Mine still running at night too. Expecting to clean this weekend.
