Dexter snapped a pic the othe day when you were over there.
Took it for a spin, but returned soon after. After I went and got something to eat. ;)

Those cigarettes are Not Normal cigarettes. ?!?!?!!?!?!?!?

Anyways. Still burning a little here. The last 2 nights the stove has not kicked on. But the last 2 weeks, its been on a couple times at night. Maybe a night or two left where its needed.. Not much more of the season. A bag or 2.... Maybe??

man. i miss my '70 bus. drove that thing for 11 years. best car camping rig ever.
bed deck in back. ice chests/sitting room in the middle. split front seats for pots & pans and misc. up front.

drive up to the fire pit, tie tarp to the far side at vents and front side mirror, over the top and secure the front of the tarp to a couple trees, light fire and sit back for a week till it's time to go back to the job.

that 100 qt. cooler would keep ice for the whole week. and you can stack an amazing number of rainier 16oz bottles in it if you do it right.

a guy asked me how the fishing was. said i didn't know. he was"well what the hell are you doing up here"
i said "having a fire"

yep. just melting bottles in the fire for a week. smoking some of those not cigarettes too.

ha! i just remembered i would take the canoe to the far side of the lake and come back with a log raft of driftwood.

Fired my baby up last night too.....Just to take the chill out of the house when I got home from work. It's so sweet having a new toy to play with. I'm actually kind of glad we've had some cooler temps. as now I get to experiment with my new stove before the heating season this fall. I'm trying to decide if I'll go with the Stove temp setting or the Room temp when it gets really cold. I never had to make decisions like this with my old Lopi. The more I experiment the more I think I'll use the Stove temp with the manual setting (to save on the igniter). The forecast here in upstate, NY seems to indicate warmer more springlike temps are due to arrive today and to stick around for good.

x2 chain, although with the ps50,its lo/med/hi.........for our first stove we are very happy NOT having to adjust a lot of buttons.....And this "Quad" seems to be a very good burner..........May go with more settings on our next stove......Unfortunately supposed to be in the 80's the next few days....Not too conducive to fire-burning.....lol

38 degrees here this morning hell yes my stove is on.

Still Burning off and on here as well. Gets fairly chilly at nights still, and My
wife has RA so it runs when it rains right now to get the damp out of the house for her.

If I put my P61 in stove mode and flip the switch to manual, the distribution fan shuts down. You don't have to worry about the igniter in stove mode because the stove will run forever at the temp you set.

Been runnin mine on stove temp the last few nights. Running it on 2 and is still a little to warm. Will probably work well when temps get below 20. Had it up on 4 to start and everyone started shedding clothes.

4? Are you talking heat setting or feed rate? It's gotta be really cold before I turn up the stove to 4.

Ya know having a summer place on the island in the little pond across the street a bit from me fits in nicely with having a winter place in Florida. Plenty of folks do just that.
I'm sure many do....but how many who are in the Keys have pellet stoves??

Heat setting, pissing the wife off more than anything. I think she's jealous of the stove.

After one of the warmest winters in recorded history (up here in the Northeast), the last thing I would've ever expected, would be burning on May 1st............::-)
The weather is changing nicely for us here. It's supposed to be around 75 degrees in a couple of days and there will be a few cool nights. We've got six bags left and and unopened ton. Saved a few bucks this winter. Now it's garden and back yard time.

Really? The few times I've run my stove in "Stove Mode" it shuts right down once the probe senses the heat in the room has reached the desired temperature. And then it fires up again when needed, with the use of the igniter. My owners manual states that this is how it's supposed to work and putting the stove in manual does essentially the same thing except that the burn continues and reignites when needed from the low flame still in the burn pot rather than the igniter. I'm wondering if I should move my probe to a location further from the stove. When it was installed, the dealer mounted it right on the hearth behind the stove and I wondered immediately if it wasn't too close and would thereby shut the stove off relatively soon since it gets very warm in that location fairly quickly. But then again, I've only used it in the past few weeks with relatively warm temps. outside. When we get 5-10 degree weather in January, it'll need to work harder obviously. Probably best to wait and see before I dick around with moving the probe.

I like running the stove in room temp/manual when it's really cold out. Im a big fan of the continuos burn. My stove is in a corner and probe is set in the corner right at the height of the top of the hopper. My brother-in-law and sisters are at the same spot also. But also same installer.

Everything you've stated is consistent with running the stove in Room Temp mode. When the stove is in stove temp mode, the probe is not in use. The heat setting, not room temp, is monitored by the ESP probe. The stove will run at that temp until you change it.

Yup watching the grass grow this past week with all the rain and running stove too!
Low to mid 40's calls for heat.

Whoops....I have the "modes" backwards.
