Well, you can definitely fly into Boston if you've never done that one......it's usually pretty nice (for New England) at that time of year, and a nice "urban" experience. It's not terribly far from there up to woodstock.

You can even fly into Bradley (south of me)...although it is about 3 hours from there to WS. It all depends on whether you want to do other things - and what they are!

Maybe BB will pick you up in the G5? From what I hear, G5's are "Texas Piper Cubs".....

Heck, if you are really partying you could fly into Montreal and get a taste of France.

If you are coming east it's always nice to do more than one thing.....since you are already here! I should follow my own advice since I've been to Austin and San Antonio and never got too far out of town. Someday...maybe.

All of those who came in on the Mayflower have been chasing everyone else out from day one. We should be glad they let us leave unmolested these days! Of course, you in Texas are also familiar with chasing the native folks out too!

10-4 on the proximity issue. The last and only time I was in Vermont, we went north and were plumb out of the US before I knew it. We also went to Stowe and then in a bit were in NH before I knew it. Then turned south and were in Mass before I knew we were in NH real good. I told Eric, who was from up there, that they should put a little more space between these states so folks could figure out where they are before they aren't! Seems like I spent the whole trip the the State of Confusion! Things were just too tight together for this boy! Y'all need some elbow room up there. The nice thing about all the states being so close is that, even though they are so close, each state is so VASTLY different when it come to politics, taxes, geography, weather, even accents. it gives you alot of options when it comes to picking which state to call home without a feeling of leaving your friends or family super long distances away.

I grew up in CT, lived in MA for college and I chose to make NH my home state where i plan to live forever and raise my family. I do not care for the taxes, politics, weather or geography in southern new england but thats where i have alot of family and friends, so its nice to be only 2 hours away from them in a much better place called NH.

I to grew up in CT, went to college in NH and my wife and I decided to stay for good. This state is great.

I'm hoping for September this year rather than Octember. Last year the motel rates went up for that weekend because it was supposed to be peak color there. The color was disappointing for us as was the motel rates. Also a better chance of good weather in September.
