Yeah, some of the splits are too long. :-( Tree services are not too consistent when bucking up the logs. So a couple years back I built a rack that I use to trim splits longer than 18". I found that sometimes it's easier to trim the splits than it is to trim the rounds. Probably 6 of one, half dozen of the other.
