Burned a bag of that stuff and almost filled my burn pot with ash. Only bought it because I got outta work late and lowes was the only place open that sold pellets. They were 4.97$ a bag.

Check around. Great Works Biofuel in Berwick has MWP Soft at 249 and hardwood mix at 235. Dont go by the website pricing, that has to be updated.

Not in my book....they are just rebagged NEWP, which have been just average, at best, the past few years. There's better pellets out there for that kind of $$, IMO.

Definitely not the best pellet out there. They burned pretty clean in my Quad. But heat output was lacking. Severely.

They burned OK in my Quad. I was getting them at HD for 195 a ton. But then again I am rather picky about keeping the insides clean. Would consider them a decent shoulder pellet if the price was right.

Thanks for all the advice guys, i'm not in a hurry to buy right now so i will pass and hold out for my greene teams. I don't need another stove chow problem.

They're worth the money if your stove likes them. My stove actually got better heat out of the NEWP/Greene Supremes than it did out of the Okanagans.

That's funny how each stove is different when it comes to pellet brands. Mine burns great with greene team and maines choice, most other brands i get lots of ash and low heat output.

Are they worth the money??

I burned a ton last year, not bad not great. Thinking of a ton for early fall late sprng burning. If you like them call the Aubuchon in Dover, they can order for you at $230/ton.

We tried a couple bags of greene supreme last year and found them to be on par with Maines Choice. Free standing accentra didnt mind two ton of maines choice but we paid $195 / ton at lowes in epping. Rented the lowes truck for $19 and stacked the tons myself in the basement. Actually we tried several brands and all gave good heat with no trouble except the penningtons. Did notice that the cubex burned cleaner but the heat was similar, albeit a limited sample.

We are in nottingham and looking at various brands for next year; plan to wait and see if lowes carries any of the bargain brands at less than $200 per ton (excluding inferno and pennington)

Going to go with four ton of LG delivered by mcmannus in barrington if we cannot catch a deal at lowes. Mcmannus charges $269 / ton for LG plus $50 for delivery up to 5 ton.

Do you have to pay maine sales tax on pellets if you live in new hampshire? Does it matter if you have the pellets delivered?

I'll check out the Dover store in the next couple of weeks, i hate to pay $230 a ton but it looks like all the stores are sticking to last years high prices.
