We had a strong storm two nights ago that took down several trees. Started getting the Cherry off the beans but it got too hot, will finish tonight. Two Cottonwoods one Maple and one Boxelder. Came close to getting one of my Black Walnuts.

Got too hot? C'mon it was only like 94 here today.

Seriously though, you're a better man than I am if you even pulled the rip cord on your saw today. Sorry about your mess, but glad nothing worse happened. Supposed to cool down a little now so hopefully you can at least process the wood without heatstroke. A C

I'll second that AC.......too hot for cuttin but sometimes you gotta do it. One of the few times I cut in heat like this was when the farmer I cut for most of the time bought a new farm and ran into me at the fair. He said he needed everything dropped or he was going to pushem over and burn them. I cut as much as I could in 90 degree heat. Sweat so much I was getting cold chills. Yuck............

Yea L P, I pulled a deal like that a few years back too. About 90 nice tops from a logging operation that had to go ASAP. Got a few guys together with the trucks & trailers & worked 4 days straight cutting & hauling in 85 to 95 weather. Never again!. Started @ 5:00 AM till about 10:00, then back @ 5:00 PM till dark. About killed us but we got it done. A C

Any time a wind storm passes through is a good time to check the local CL & Kijiji ads for free firewood for the couple of weeks following.

Had that a few times more than I would have liked. IMO, heat stroke is a bit like frostbite, get it once and you become more susceptible to it in the future. Stay cool!

Got the Cherry off the beans and no hurry on the rest. I will let the leaves dry up and fall off then cut it up. 90 + today so I'll be in the shop. Cooling off this weekend so splitting up what's cut.

I hear you about too hot.
Saws get pretty hot above ambient air temp, not good to run them when it's that hot.
But get it off the beans man, kids gotta eat. LOL :)

When it got to 72 today, to hot.
MGD & watch the garden grow time. High was 76° & the garden grew great :)

I cut up a few blow downs today too. It was about 82::Fhere in Western Oregon today.
