Been away a few days in Ogunquit ME. Just me and Ellen enjoying our 30th., Hiking, bike riding, and walking the beaches.
Fall foliage color was spetacular weather cool but decent wonderfull quiet time for us.
When we returned home it was cold raw and misting uper 40's. My inside home temps 59 degrees. Time when that stove is really needed I fired up the Encore got it to 650 and dampered the cat ignition My familly room pretty far remover was still 61 degrees First fire in my Intrepid II brought it up to 650 and f dampered the cat ignition. Both are crusing at 550. Inside now is 68 and rising .

I have this theory since the Encore is on the lower level some heat rises and enters the familly room. My home has two open stairways on to the bedroom area and one to my familly room. If I heat the familly room equal or warmer than the lower level the hot air from the Encore heat level does not rise up into the familly room., more will then be directed into the bedroom area.
Basically tha's how I heat most of my home all winter two upper bedroom walls also share walls with the familly room. The familly room has reduced the exterior wall space. From the original home layout.

Boy almost 3 pages of open post in just a few days

"CONGRATULATIONS" on your 30TH !

Welcome Back Elk. sounds like you had a great time.

I was a virgin 30 years ago. May not have been through puberty either.

Congrats Don! And Welcome back!

Thank guys and gals: I got lucky and hooked up with the right partner the first time. And its just as true today as it was 30 years ago. Look at all she puts up with and that too is a two way street.

Temps went past 70 so time to scale it back a bit. BTW I believe the Intrepid II may be one of the best area stoves available. Great at heating up under 800 sq ft rooms.

Congratulations on 30 years! It's a shame, but it's rare to see that today.

J/K brother ELKer .

Congrats Elk. It's great that you both took time to celebrate and look back on good times together. Sounds like we got married on close to the same day. I'm embarassed to say that we wimped through our 37th with just a nice dinner. The house was empty and defuming after the new floors were finished. We were camping out at our neighbor's guest cottage and just didn't have the energy for much else. But I hope next year will be much more celebratory.

A different take on this one...Congrads Ellen. Don's a good guy... (And well done Don...Keeping her for 30 years....you must be doing somethign right)

Congrats Elk, and I'm sure you kept the golf clubs home. Good move.

I was just recently born when Elk got married :)

We're at 8 years - goes by so fast!

What did my wife get me? a 19" Envision flat screen monitor I am now viewing. This is sweet.

Thanks guys and gals: I'm one lucky guy I have the perfect mate. Thought that is subject to change without warning.
I can be bad tomorrow without knowing why
