I am re-bricking a Summit Insert I picked up earlier this year and it looks like the two back left and right bricks are cut at an angle. Other stoves I have owned have shown the dimensions of the cuts when there are angled bricks.

Does anyone have the measurements of those rear left and right floor bricks?

Thanks

Mine is too dirty at the moment to just peek in and check. But if I remember correctly, there aren't any cut on an angle. There is a small triangular gap there that is left over and it is covered by the back & side upright bricks I believe. Someone correct me if I am wrong. You can call Tom at chimneysweeponline.com and he can tell you, he is a dealer.

Or, since you're rebricking anyway, pull 'em outta there and check. If you have a wet saw, you could do the cuts yourself pretty easily.
Well, that's what I'd do.

Thanks for the replies.

PapaDave, unfortunately I left the old bricks when I picked up the insert since it looked like my Subaru was already sagging way too low so I don't have them to go as a guide. I will probably give Tom a call.

Tom,

If there is a Hearth Hall of Fame you will go in on the first ballot.

Many thanks.
