Not quit a simple as a nail & wheelbarrow handle:
Piece of a broken graphite fishing pole.
1/4" all thread, epoxy, washer & wing nut.

Nice.

I did the very same thing when I rebuilt my K301 out of my IH Cub Cadet 129 a few years ago.
 
This was a K301 out of a 125 I used to have.
