Hey guys. Got my wittus ego stove cleaned last Monday by the dealer. I specifically did not tell him which pellets I used so he would not be biased evaluating my pellet choice. His first words were " wow whatever pellet you used worked real well with this stove. It's really clean. Seems like this stove is pretty efficient."

Now im taking him for his word. I burned a variety of box store pellets (mwp, green supreme, stove chow, and a few green team bags). So my assumption is that my stove did not mind the cheaper box store pellets and kept the house nice and warm. It only needed a vacuum once a week and cleaning that took 10 mins. I just recently purchased 5 tons of green supreme for 188 a ton. I will only use between 3.5-4 tons but you never know what the price will be next year

The wittus ego was definitely a great choice for me. It easily heats my upstairs approximately 1500 sq ft and increased the temp in the house from 62 to 72 in 1 hour. It is also super modern and I've had a million compliments on it. Some cool features coming up hooking to wifi in order to send a text to it to turn on ( just hoping the chip comes into production in the us this year). It also added a beautiful looking fire at night.

Glad it worked out..... Thats a good price on those pellets. They get mixed reviews here. But if your stove likes'em, then burn'em...

We have had our Wittus EGO for 2.5 years an absolutely love it. It is not picky about the type of pellet we burn. Keep the house very comfortable. I have learned how to break it down and clean it myself even changed out the upper and lower gaskets this summer. The only thing we had to replace was the blower motor (under warranty) because of a bad bearing. The new one is a closed design. The only thing I would like to find out is how to stop the "Service" message from showing up.

I have the same issue with the service message. I have thoroughly cleaned and it says to clean. Where do you get your parts? Did you put an external thermostat on? Can you upload a pic? Thanks
