Firewood fairy took a dump in the driveway

I get up this morning and head out for my morning run. As I walk by the pile of ash rounds in the driveway I notice that it isn't all ash anymore! There's now river birch and cherry rounds tossed in with it. I look closer and see that there's enough rounds to make up for the 10 or so rounds I split of the ash.

Turns out my buddy's son took the trees down for someone and knew exactly where to put the wood . If this keeps up I'll be set through 2016 by the end of summer.

I have the Air Force Half Marathon on 9/15 and I'm hoping to break the 1:50 for a new personal record. After that there's going to be lots of time to split, after a morning if deer/duck hunting of course.

And I loaned my splitter to a friend.

This is my second half marathon this year. I started training for the first one in January so I've been in snow, ice, sleet, mud, rain, and lots of heat. I love it!

I texted the fairy to thank him and he said that there's more coming!

Well, the firewood fairy stopped by again. Nice truck bed full birch....man I've got a lot of work to do.
