Hi Guys its been a while. I really like this little stove worked very good for me last season (1st season).Question before I get started on the take apart and cleaning any input or things you guys would do while replacing & cleaning? Thanks

make sure you have replacement gaskets onhand, hopefully you have already done so. if not, our "early bird" special is still running.

i like to spray some dry graphite on the inside of my exhaust blower and on the fan blades it seems to help keeping buildup off the blades and make sunsequent cleanings easier

One thing I learned installing a new door gasket was to only lay out a small section of glue at a time and have some small tape peices ready to hold it.
The glue depending on which kind(i coulnd't get the clear locally) won't mix at the very tip of the tube so squirt that on a piece of cardboard/paper and discard.

x 2 on this. I do the same and it keeps blower vanes much cleaner.

Mike Iam ordering the early bird, Thanks Guys for the info. Last winter alot of guys on helped out alot, it was my 1st year already have 2ton in garage, picking up a 3rd ton. I Want it cleaned new gaskets ready for the cold but hope it stays warm LOL.

Thanks guys been busy with winter coming playing catch up. starting the inside gaskets auger etc.. today. imacman I have about the same spray napa had it, thanks

Did you buy the stove new last year? I only ask because all the gaskets shouldnt need replacement.

The door, auger, burn pot, etc should be good for a couple/few years. The combustion blower gasket will need replacing once or twice a year. Depending on if you do a mid season clean. The door gasket may need replacing every year. If it gets abused pretty badly. (I got 3 yrs out of the Quad, and I have a stove thats going on 17 yrs old, that looks to have quite a few originals).

I bought window gasket material from Englander several years ago. That came with adhesive already on it. I just had to peel the backing off. It went on really slick. I don't know if their door gasket material is the same or not.

door gasket is different, comes with a "toothpaste tube" of high temp rtv. still pretty straightforward to install

As I posted a while ago, bought the "EarlyBird" gasket set from Englander and it was a VERY easy replacement of the window and door gaskets. Door gasket was very straightforward, and I agree with Subsailor about the window gasket.....the pre-applied adhesive works GREAT!.

Posted a pic in the other thread, but I'll put in here again too. One thing I DID have to do was to move the door latch outward about 1/8" to get the door to close completely due to the thickness of the new door gasket.

Used....it's an '04 model.....time for new gaskets, IMO.

Yeah its time. But that info would have been more helpful above.

To the average reader, it looks as if he is replacing ALL gaskets after one season. Not trying to send that message to anyone.
