Is it my imagination, or did TSC just raise the price of their 22-ton splitter from $899 to $1099? Was thinking of picking one up tomorrow, assuming I could convince them to let me assemble it myself.

I believe they raised the price to $1099 a couple years ago but still have sales at the lower price. Around here though, $999 has been their low price for quite a while.

I was able to get an unassembled 22 ton Huskee by asking them to order me one and leave it in the crate. I don't know if TSC stores are independently owned and have different policies from store to store on this matter.
Hmmm... will have to hunt for one. Most flyers that come in the mail go directly from mailbox to trash can. We must get the New York Times worth of coupon flyers in the mail every day, as measured by sheer paper volume.
edit: nevermind! Found it posted in another hearth.com thread. Gotta love this forum!

All of the local outlets, including TSC, want more than 1199 for the splitter. One tractor place wants 1499!

I just picked up a new Huskee 22 ton yesterday at Tractor Supply and they gave me the Labor Day sale price $999.99, so that I wouldn't have to bring my receipt in next week (they will match the sale price up to 30 days after you purchase).

I bought mine in 2010 for $999 and then received a $150 dollars worth of gift cards to TSC for an out the door price of $850. That is the best deal I have seen on them yet and it was 2 years ago.

Called our TSC, actually a Del's farm supply, and they have no plans for a labor day sale on the splitter. She offered 1150$ if I buy today.

Got the labor day ad in the mail yesterday. $999...down from $1,099. $999 was the regular price when bought mine a few years ago. I asked the store mgr if they were going to be on sale (I'd seen them at $899 before) and he said no...the price was going up and this was the cheapest it would ever be. Turns out he wasn't BSing me.

We got our circular and the Speeco electric 5 ton is only 300$ but the 22 ton is not on sale. 1199 regular price. Bummer.
