I now sell Enviro and VC stoves so I burn an Enviro wood stove, it works well, but its hard to go against Jotul and its looks, the Oslo especially. Good luck,

I like Jotul, but the Enviro Boston is a handsome stove too. I like the Venice inserts also.

Great points Begreen however Jotul Oslo has that nice feature (if you have room) of the side loading door the Boston is a gorgeous stove price is pretty steep espec compared to their steel sister stoves. Am biased toward Enviro as we sell Enviro but Jotul makes a nice cast stove. The Boston is a hybrid you get quick starting fires but great cast looks too- For 200 bucks that was a no brainer and Jotul is well supported logistically (parts) too. Have a great day all-

Stovelark
Enviro EF3 FS pellet
Enviro Empress FPI AC pellet
Enviro Kodiak 1700 FS wood (gee Enviro here)

Stovelark - thanks for that great info.. yes my Oslo has the ceramic baffle w/insulation blanket. The f3 is only 2 yrs old, no cat, no enamel. I love the dimensions of the F3 (aesthetically), it sits high and proud and has a presence that the other larger stoves don't :)

BV - yes sorry, i did mean e/w (i was envisioning side-loading and simply got my compass wrong LOL.)

$250 is quite a steal. You gotten great advice above. I would just emphasis use the side door, not the front. The stove performs great with seasoned dry wood. I did not know the true meaning of this until I got this stove. But with good fuel, this is a great stove.

Thanks for the recipe, FFJ. I see some of these steaks 3 months in my future......
