ready to pull the trigger today on one of these stoves? is it going to be a good stove? have they fixed anything on these i am reading that the igniters are burning up on these? my house is a ranch and 12-1300 sq feet with 12foot high ceilings in the kitchen/living room.

I believe they have made some changes to help with the igniter life.

The stove does periodic fire out and burn pot dumping which can lead to more than normal use of an igniter.

You also want to make certain that all of the updates are on the stove you get, there were other issues that have been corrected.

Be certain to pay attention to burn pot maintenance there are automated moving parts.

They are a good stove, I have one. They have corrected many of the issues with them. If you keep up with the maintenance you should be ok. If you have any questions when you get it let me know. Pics when it is installed please. :)

pulled the trigger, stove is a brand new unit. everything is covered anyways in the first 2 years. so i guess time will tell if i have any trouble with it.

now i just need to fig out what pipe to use. And what size. have the option of going through the roof or out a wall.

Good Stove

I have Simpson dura vent. It is good pipe, but I had to really seal some joints with high temp silicone, I kept smelling smoke and could see it seeping out the joints with a flash light. Some of the above recommendations may be better. When the dealer installed my Harman stove he used Simpson too, so that is all I know about.

should i go 3 or 4 inch?

prob roof

I bought my mount Vernon in 2009 and have the original ignitor and baffle. It does heat well, but I've had a lt of little electrical problems.
