Set it on the Hearth and exhaust it up the chimney? Pellet stoves, unlike a lot of woodstoves, have a very low flue height. Which allows for this to be done much easier than a traditional woodstove.

Build a hearth extension (if needed) and set it down, then run a liner up the chimney. Many here have freestanders on a Hearth. (In front of fireplace).

Inserts are harder to work on also. IMO. Another bonus with freestanding.

That is a decent deal. I would try and get it around the $2,000 mark.
