of used Kozi 100.
insert, with exh going up chiminey, via 4in tubing.
can i run a pipe for outside air to stove, down the chiminey? ( 1 1/2 in dia)
run will be 8 ft for exh and inlet, straight vertical, other than a 90 out of the stove.

I have no other options as fireplace is on an inside wall, with no exterior access.

You can but it would be easyier to run it out the chimney Cleanout!

A 1.5" OAK may ne a little restrictive. I would do at least a 2" OAK.

Going up the chimney is an option, as with the clean-out, and some have even bored straight back through the brick (outside boring company).

Your OAK's inside diameter must be equal to or larger than the outside diameter of the pipe it attaches to. If it is long or has a number of bends in it it needs to be larger than outside diameter of the pipe it attaches to. Technically an OAK is part of your vent system.

OAK outlet on the stove is 1.5in,
fireplace is gas only, so no clean out.
in searching for tubing of 1.5 dia, nothing available,
so looks like I'll go with larger dia tubing, and fab a reducer.
Thanks for the input!

Use a reducer from an Auto Parts store. In the exhaust parts section. Should be an easy enough part.

2" flex is pretty commom size. So no problems there either.

fireplace was constructed as wood burning fire place,
just never burned wood.
not a zero clearance fireplace,
I had house built, and was owner builder.
