Have a chance to get a Blaze King Wood Stove model #KEJ 19815 for what seems to be a decent price. Anyone have any info on this unit? Can't find anything on the Blaze King web site so it must be an older stove.

Assume it's this one http://nh.craigslist.org/for/3263751886.html

Don't know much about older BKs, but 19815 sounds more like a serial no or something. It looks like it's in nice shape, and maybe is a cat model from the thermo on top. The red ceramics look good. I'd say its worth $300.

One for sale in my area also. Was wondering myself if the stove was a Cat model. Sent an email, no response yet..

That one looks much cleaner than the one by me. And has top exit, not rear.

Dexter thatlooks to be a non cat stove there. theres no handle for a bypass on the side.

Any ideas about the size, btu output, etc? Looking for a stove for a LARGE open room (approx 8000 cu.ft.).

That's like 20'x40' with 10' ceilings, correct? Should be plenty of stove, with the windows open. Try to find out the correct model number, but if you look for specs for a KEJ 1102, you should find something. The manual should be on BK's website.

Also noticed, in looking for a replacement cat for a newer King, that the 1101 has an oval cat, and the 1102 is rectangular. If that helps any.

well, the room is more like 20' x 24' x 16' ceiling. The stove sits pretty much in the center. It is a converted barn, fairly well insulated. It's a 2 hour drive to where the stove is so I'm just trying to get as much info as I can before I make a trip.
Thanks.
