Well, i have been shopping around for the last few weeks, have been looking at Mt Vernons and the GCI60. I have gotten 2 prices from 2 different places on the Mt Vernon, and 4 prices from 4 different places on the GCI60.... I talked to my closest dealer at the local fair about pricing me a GcI60 and he said he had a demo he would sell for 30% off... So I emailed him on monday and got a quote.. not bad... well I had the day off from work today so i went down to the showroom. Checked out the Demo stove which looks like brand new. Its about 8 months and has all the latest updates. He said since its been a fairly slow summer they have barely used this stove. Was talking to the salesman and for haha's asked him the price.. he said 50% off.. I was like, what?? can you double check that. I ended up putting a deposit on it. Out the door with a chimney kit, install and tax was somewhere around $2990!!!! About an hr after this, i get an email from another local guy on the same stove with chimney kit and install... $5300....
Anyways, im pretty excited and cant wait to get it installed. Time to go pellet shopping....

Anyone have any input on pennington pellets? A friend of mine says they are a high grade pellet and he buys them at sams club for $220/ton...

Congrats on a fine stove!

The stove will burn them, But there are much better stuff out there for just about the same amount spent. Best thing to do is try about every brand you can find/afford in your area just to see how they do. Burn what you feel is best.

If you need some help sorting thru them, Post a list of what you have available. We love chattin pellets and will gladly help.

Congrats on the stove purchase. That stove is a beauty and the sister/same stove as the M-55 Cast.

Welcome to the Forums and cant wait for some install pics.

We love pics. Especially of stoves burning :)

Congrats on the stove purchase......looking forward to pics of the install.

As for the Pennington pellets......;sick Let us know what else is available in your area and the prices....we'll get you set-up.

thanks guys- Im excited to get it in and get pictures up. Got my install town permit today... now its just a waiting game. The place i bought the stove from is coming out for a site visit next week, and then let me know when it will get installed.

Im thinking of buying a ton of greene team and stove chow...... but still looking around..........

Love any input you guys have!!!

I have never heard of long pond until last night, searching around i came across it. Im not to far from plainfield, thats where i bought my JD tractor.
I may grab a ton of pellets from them to compare. I figured i would get a ton of a few different one. Im hoping to get buy this winter with 3 tons, but ill probably just end up getting 4 tons since this will be my first year with a pellet stove! Thanks for the advice.

I get my stove parts from him, Haven't purchased pellets myself(too long of a haul), but have sent a few over to him. Not one complaint yet! Pick the right day and he might have one of the grills fired up. You could get a sample of some tasty stuff.
