This is my first post to the site, although i have been hanging around for about 6 months. I finally decided to sell the Fisher Papa Bear. After reading all the great info for the past 6 months i bought the Englander 30 NCH. Last night was the first burn and i have to say the stove is fantastic, it will really pump out some heat and the secondary burns are very nice. I am also very impressed with the burn time, went to bed around 9 and only put two pieces of cherry on as i am still getting used to how it burns (stove top was around 575) woke up around 5:30 raked it around and still had hot coals:). Great site with lots of useful info and so far it seems to be a great stove.

Like your Avatar with the dog and the child. I bet they are best buddies. We are two retired folks with two very overweight chocolate Labs. Every time the grandkids come to visit, the dogs are anxious to play with them. Amazing how they know that they need to be gentle with little people. Our big male is especially gentle.
Welcome to the forum, Oh, and yes, we do like pictures!

Is your pipe in upside down? If that is single wall it is upside down. If double wall, do the arrows on the label point the right way?

Thanks for all the comments, i wasnt completely sold on the glass tile around the pipe but thats what the wife wanted. Highbeam - it is double wall pipe so all the male ends (on the inside pipe) are pointing towards the stove, the outer pipe male ends point toward the chimney and the adapter from the class A to the DSP pipe is also male, thats just the way the DSP pipe terminates on the chimney end, I just have yet to put on the finishing band.

Does anyone have any input on the AC-30 fan vs. the AC-16 fan - it came with the AC-16 fan but it seems a little on the loud side?

Very beautiful install....

I too wonder about the blower. Hopefully Mike Holton can chime in on this. The blowers look totally different. The blower I have, has a rectangular slot (30 I think)? And the other seems to have a round slopening (16?). So are they even interchangeable? The back deflector plate that the blower mounts to is welded. Seems if it has one blower on it, it has to be replaced by that blower? I dont know... Just going based on looks. I could be way off.

Very nice set-up though and welcome to the Forums.

the rear shield on the 30 has a rectangular plate bolted to it where the blower mounts, for the 16 it simply bolts to the round opening in that plate , for the 30 blower that plate is unbolted and the ac-30 blower bolts up in its place

Thanks Mike. So because I have the solid plate, I could only use the 16, if I Mod'd (cut) the removable plate.

Not that I am gonna, I was just wondering if there was a reason for the swap? Better CFM? Noise?

the ac-16 blower is a unit that we buy as a complete system. the ac-30 we build ourselves using purchased blower motor and rheostat in a housing we fabricate. the stores all wanted blowers as a "stock" item in our woodstoves so they ordered them with the blower in them. the biggest reason we went with the 16 was due to its "bought as complete" status, otherwise we would have to fabricate a couple thousand of the ac-30 blowers which takes time and manpower and would increase the cost of the stove, so we went with the 16 and kept the 30 for those who want the lower profile (close clearance installations and such) as an option.
