Got up this morning it was 48 outside, 65 inside. Started up the stove to take the edge off. It was kinda like meeting an old friend. :)

Not yet, but it is getting closer. I am figuring by mid October it may be time to bring them to life again. Supposed to be a cold one this winter.

Not this morning but yesterday morning I did. STILL love my stove!

I'm trying to make it to the first day of fall, September 21st. It's going to be close.

Last winter heating with propane we had to keep it 62 in the house (and that still cost $500/month) so a morning in the mid 60's inside isn't too bad!

I did a lot of insulating last winter and I can feel it on these mornings, this time last year it would have been in the low 60's/high 50's inside with everything closed up.

I'm looking to hold out as long as possible, although I did see a neighbor down the street was burning...

I was sorely tempted this morning, but held out. Going to hold out as long as I can and stretch, stretch my pellets!

Yes and burned this am also...... low 40's outside....68 in the living room.......aahhh the smell of woodsmoke in the air !! {outside,that is !! LOL}

had 33 outside this morning touched her off for 1/2 hour take the chill out..

I almost started up the pellet stove yesterday. I'm trying to hold out until I absolutely have to, but with having two kids 2 and 4 1/2 yrs old I may start burning like I did last year in October.

I refuse to run heat of any kind before October.

Wanna warm the house up this time of year??? Throw a turkey in the oven! Bingo, warm house that smells terrific and you got yourself 3-5 days worth of meals. :)

54 in Shed/Workshop so flipped the switch in the house before breakfast. Now it is 73 in there!

I found that my kids couldn't care less about the temperature of our house, my wife and I thought it was freezing and we had to constantly get them to put on socks or even clothes for that matter....

44 outside at wake up time this morning.....not even thinking of lighting it yet

heck we still have the bedroom windows open at night

We still have our windows open yet too. feels good

33 here this morning and scraped the windshield before work. The dog's getting birdy and fall is in the air. No burn yet. Still a pellet virgin!

Just got an email from the wife at home telling me that I should prep the stove because she is chilly. I knew I'd be using more pellets this year than last year with a baby in the house but this early? I was hoping to hold out until mid-October. Oh well....

took the chill off yesterday and today, took all of 35 minutes to bring it from 64 to 75

Was 42° 16th 44° 17th. Running pipe today.

fired up stove last night nice and toasty this morning with temp at 40 this morning. Probably could have waited but its like a kid at christmas. Clean stove and full of pellets couldnt wait any longer

My original goal was not to turn the stoves on until the first day of Fall, Sept 21st. I made that, now my new goal is October 1st, we'll see. Was 34 degrees this morning.

It was 34.1 at 5:00 AM and the boss told me it was 33.4 at 7:30 AM.

This was the second day in a row where the temperature forecast was was too high on both the low temperature and high temperature.

The cat was pacing around with a couple of gallon jugs, some rubber tubing, and tape. In other words he was about to bleed a couple gallons out of me to sell for heating oil if I didn't turn on the kitty heater.

I caved and enjoyed a cup of coffee in my den in front of the fire.
