I just picked up a lopi leyden off of craigslist for $1500. When it was transported back to my house the firebrick in the back cracked in half :-( . Does anyone know the best and cheapest place to replace this?
 
depends on the size, but Tractor Supply stores have 4x8 fire bricks for cheap..
 
I think they had a defective batch of these around 2008. I got mine changed free of charge. Might try where the guy bought the stove 1st. Does not hurt to ask!
 
Old brick ones cracked easy so Travis changed to cast iron panels that last forever for about ~$150 for the set of three.

Got my cast ones free also under warranty when brick ones cracked.
 
According to the user manual dated 2008 page 41 the cast firebrick is warranted for 7 years to the original purchaser.
