Looking to get 3 ton delivered to Taunton, Ma
Code:
                                Ton Delivery Total
     Home Depot: Nations choice 209 65 692
          Lowes: Inferno's 219 65 722
WoodPellets.com: Homestead 240 39 759
 Pellets Direct: Power House 249 59 806
 Pellets Direct: Instant Heat 259 59 836

Given my two pellet stoves (no experience with the 55-TRP10) and the locally available pellets (low to high BTU ratings) what do suggest?

If you have experience with a pellet listed and one of my stoves any info would be great

Thanks

Is there a Tractor Supply Company store around? How about an Agway or similar. None of the choices seem super attractive.

The Powerhouse is the only one that has gotten many good reviews (same pellet as Great American), and I know nothing about the Homestead. The others are ones I'd stay away from like the plague, especially the Infernals and the Instant Heat-less.

I used instant heat last season and I thought they were plenty warm, of course we had a mild winter. I have power house this year...haven't burned them yet so can't review...

I know nothing about the homesteads either(still haven't seen them in my area). PowerHouse are pretty decent. Likew Speed3 said, Look for a TSC or Agway. Agway should also have Power House. TSC should have MWP and Greene Supreme.

Inferno's and Nations Choice I would just keep walking. O'heck better to just run as fast as you can!

No agway nearby
TSC does not deliver so I need to factor in multiple trips with the pickup truck (1/2 dodge 4x4)

I know I don't want the HD/Lowes junk but need to get past the frugal/cheap part of me.

For 806 delivered versus 690 picked up, my truck and back might not be worth the $116 savings @ TSC

Tractor Supply is at Bay Rd exit off 495 in Taunton
Not sure what stock they have right now.

For high BTU pellets (and more $$$) check out J&S trucking in Berkley.
Think it is exit 11 of RT 24, Padelford St head east toward Myricks, about 1-1/2 miles up on right.
Usually have Okanagan's and Vermont's. Not sure what June has this year or her prices.
Great folks to deal with.

My 1/2 ton F150 will haul a full ton no problem.
Save the shipping and haul it yourself. Buy more beer or pizza, lol ==c
Good Luck,

How about Pellet Direct's package -- 2 tons Geneva and 1 Ton Green Gold for $769 plus $59 shipping = $838. I'm in the same area as you. Pellets ain't cheap in our neck of the woods (but cheaper than oil). Genevas and Green Gold are good pellets. Good luck.

im 2 minutes from the tsc that nailer is referring to and they have maine woods for $219 a ton.they will match competitors prices so that should get you out the door at $209 for a much better pellet than the ones you listed.give eastern ice a call in brockton.they have cubex, eagle valley and spruce point for $260 to $275 a ton and they deliver.
im in norton by the way,not far from you at all.

Thanks everyone

I will check out TSC, if I can save some significant coin by hauling a decent pellet myself then maybe I can get the CZ-82 I've been thinking about.

My worries are that I have used the main wood in the T300-P but this is the first year with the timber ridge. Not knowing what it will digest and having my wife and kids home full time, I need an easy to use setup. Feeding the wood stove is fine but interupts school so it does not get the attention it should during the day, hence the second pellet stove.

Hoping for zero oil other than hot water this year.

Picked up 2 ton of MWP from Tractor Supply yesterday ($209/ton). I know it runs fine in the T3000-P so I can use it there if the new stove hates it. Also picked up a free bag of CleanFire pellets from Ventura grain but at $275/ton they will need to be amazing to make using them worth it.

Moving the pellets one ton at a time with the truck then unloading be hand is actually pretty quick. Was looking to get three ton but two was enough on the back for the day.

Try giving south shore wood pellets in Holbrook a call. I have 3 tons of McFeeters due here next week at $274 per ton.
