Was just asked today if I'd heard anything, apparently a dozen otherwise healthy whitetails were found dead along the Kalamazoo river in Allegan County, Otsego area. No cause of death determined yet, but EHD looks likely. A C

Looks like plenty NE of Hastings, talked to a buddy today that found 14 east of Leach Lake.

Hmmm... that sucks, I'm in the YS state game area near Gun Lake, I'll have to keep an eye out. A C

Hey If you know where Gilletes Hardware is on Gun Lake go in and talk to Rosey. She was telling me about some out in that area.

Gary
Thanks Gary, yes I do some business with them. I'll see what she has to say. A C

Nothing around our area (Saginaw Country) but the DNR has been sending updates quite often so it sounds as if it is spreading.

I recall several years ago finding a deer that I figured may have had it (early summer but deer was really thin). It acted as though it was blind too. Never heard of anything although I had asked some folk who lived near where I saw the deer.

Dnr map looks like just cases in the southern 1/2 of the LP. With the mild winter the deer numbers should be up, but this disease won't help.

We're hoping for an early killing freeze as that will stop it for this year.
