You guy's and gals are awesome! Hearth.com members are the reason I keep at this. Not to mention the 47.3% increase in sales so far this year. The recent character offering to buy our little company did not value this industry or it's customers and the rest is history. Thanks for all your support and kind words.

Thomas

Don't you dare sell. Give me and Craig and some other hearth.com vulture capitalists a shot at investing first. The pucks are just part of the success. Thomas, Lara, and Gretchen are the other part. A big part.

All this talk of Super Cedars has got me wanting to place an order...even though I have 3/4 of a box of them! I'm getting anxious for fire season to start now, to!

Super Cedars make you spoiled and soft. Don't use them. It should be hard to light a wood stove, so that by observing fire starting technique we can tell real woodburners apart from the amateurs, tourists and weekend burners.

On second thought, real woodburners only light the stove once per year, which lumps me in with the amateurs, I guess.

Yes, every single Blaze King stove includes a free Super Cedar firestarter. For you BK owners that's a four year supply (1/4 round per fire)!! I take them elk hunting and they will get even the wettest wood to burn. Great product.

Man oh man, Thomas must have been busy in the past few weeks. My box arrived today! I ordered them about 14 days ago. However, they had to travel 5400 KMs and sit for a bit at Canadian Customs. I am good for the entire winter and most of next winter. I already started giving some away for others to try! lol. I may need to place another order before winter is over...great stocking stuffers for the woodburners I know!

A

They would be great for stocking stuffers. I always give a few to people who buy wood from us. Also keep plenty in the car as one never knows who you might run into and find out they are wood burners. Or in the summer time, campers.

Chris, just for fun, light one and lay it in a lake or river!

Just got my first box, though it's still too warm here to test them with a real fire. I do have to say, the color, size and shape makes them look exactly like frozen raw burger patties! Maybe because I spent so much time as a teenager working the grill at Mickey D's?

I will be giving some as stocking stuffers to family and friends this year for sure. Even those who don't heat with wood. They're great for starting a fire on the beach, keep in the car as an emergency (as Dennis mentioned), starting fires to burn brush, etc. I may be ordering another box of 54.... What I do not understand is how is a box $55 when the shipping price (according to what US Post puts on the box) is $40.........

I've done the same thing. I work with a lot of non-wood burners but they are now sold on them for recreational fires at the beach or camping.

I have 6 or 7 pucks left. About time for the re-order myself. I get 4 fires out of each. A quartered supercedar along with some small lengths of 2X4 pine gets any wood lit quickly

I used these last year my 1st year burning wood. They sent me a free sample upon request..I think 2 for free....I bought a case of 54 and definitely felt for the money that I got what I paid for.....I am buying a box of 100 this year. How often do you buy something and are totally satisfied? Not often enough.

Got mine today, took a week to get here which is pretty fast for a border crossing I think. Too warm to fire up yet...can't wait though. I imagine I'll start one up tonight.

What the heck is with this "too warm" to start up stuff? You guys are supposed to be cold. I have had many fires with several being overnight, full stove load. Take your COLD back, darn it.

Heck, my dog dish had a thin ice layer on it this morning.

I mentioned that in another thread, it's nice that the US seems to be colder than us this year!

A

Hang in there. You won't be able to say that much longer!

Who knows the way the jet stream has played out....yesterday it was 85 degrees here in the morning and 65 degrees in the afternoon! Where I live we have been warmer than most norther states (not certain why..) however mother nature always has her way to straighten things out....*crosses fingers*

Holy cow! 85 degrees now?! We hit 63 today and 72 is forecast for tomorrow. Looks like not too much cold for the next couple of weeks. We did start with a heavy frost this morning.

Yeah they are crazy awesome, I have finally settled to using them in my charcoal smoker now (vs. a propane torch) because they get the charcoal superhot quick... once the quarter has burned out completely the charcoal in its little cubby is usually white/purple-hot with flames.

As any good Canadian would say...
Sorry.

50 bucks for fire starters? hot dam they better work
That was sure my thought when I first heard of these (here). But this forum is full of testimonials and not one detractor. If it were just one or two, I would think shill, but I haven't seen this much enthusiasm for any product on any other forum, so I just ordered 100 in green packaging (no individual wrapping). They sent me two samples a while back. My PE Super 27 is due to be installed Monday and I think these will make the experience more pleasant.

I said that to. But, I actually use 1/6th of a puck. That's something like 15 cents per light-up and I no longer use kindling or newspaper. Rock on Super Cedars! ::-)

I'm new to this forum, reading about the enthusiam for super ceders. Gee, all these years I mis-thought, part of the joy of a fire, was getting it going. They may be terrific gifts for those who haven't aquired the knack tho.
