Wonder where he's from and where he's heading to? He didn't seem to mind my idle chatter.

Maybe he just wanted to give you some help? We heard a flock of swans go over yesterday. Really early for them. Saw a couple of sand hill cranes this morning. No robins left here now. Only 2 hummingbirds still here. Fall is here! Official tomorrow.

Is it a gull or a ptarmigan? Hard to tell from the pic

We have pelicans gathering nearby preparing to migrate. Only a few hummingbirds and now that you mention it I haven't seen a robin in a while. Our resident sand hill cranes are still here. Plenty of Canada geese around, both in the air and freezer. :)

Looked very much like our common barn pigeons. I'm afraid I don't know much about them.

I heard a flock of seagulls this morning, so I changed the radio station;lol;sick

NICE

Only if you grew up in the 80's would you catch that

Ducks & Geese forming up big Vs.
10 million Ducks & geese can't be wrong, they'll be leaving soon. LOL :)
Tundra swans & cranes will be next to leave.
I saw 6 robins in the neighbors Mt Ash eating the berries yesterday, they'll be headed out soon too.

I'll be setting up the bird feeders soon. We stop feeding once things green up, then start again after the frost. Not many birds around now, but lots of squirrels jumping around. Looks like fall is setting in. Summer has made a swift exit.

Not sure if that could be a ptarmigan, do they show up in the states? My first thought was pigeon. We need Kath to take a better look. Whatever it is, it's been banded.

Geese have started moving south up this a-way.

If that were round here, I'd say some pigeon had his wicked way with a white dove..........;)
