My P43 has run 4 times: initial burn in August and two mornings and an evening this week. I have cleaned twice. Does that make me...............obsessed?? ;em

Ummm...yes:)

Slightly. . . . . ;)

How long were the burns? Did it look like this!!! (Your burn pot is obviously different).

Hmm. the initial burn was 90 minutes. the two morning burns were about 75 minutes and the evening was about 4 hours. Using Maine's Choice at the moment. I didn;t have as much corner as buildup, but everything was covered!

Actually Smokey put the fear of ......Smokey..... in me with the following comment in the very first thread I posted upon joining the forum:!!!

Along about February and the 1000th post about why is my stove burning like cr** we get a little bit short. After all there are only so many ways to tell someone to clean their stove and by then half of the forum's first page is about dirty stoves. Until then we are all patient.

Certainly a clean stove !
I run my Enviro 24x7, and giving it a good
weekly cleaning.
Fired it up yesterday to make sure it was working.

My initial inclination is to say no. I think it's more likely that you were that way before any of this ever happened. Rick

OK, time to back it off a little. Yes, what Smokey said is all too true, but you've gone "over the top" somewhat in the obsessive cleaning dept.

In general, cleaning out the firebox and ash drawer weekly should be OK, and then each month a more thorough cleaning that includes ash traps.

Then, after a ton, the blowers should be removed & cleaned, exhaust pipe cleaned, along with all of the above.

This will free up a whole lot of time for you to obsess about other stuff. ;lol

I'm just teasing...and I was bored. It's raining and dreary and there's only so much TV a person can take. :)
