First my mistake, I was looking at he wrong brochure when I put in The Avalon, it Should have been the KINDERHOOK

I am looking at 2 different stoves but there isn't many reviews on them, the first is Enerzone Euromax and the other is Hudson River Kinderhook, both big stoves with big output but I would like to know if anyone has one and what their thoughts are. I have an Englander 25PVD, but seem be one of the few that it will just never burn right no matter what pellet I use, very inconsistent, so I thought I would upgrade. any thought would be very helpful.

The AGP isn't really a that big of a stove. Its only rated at 41K BTU. Its new this season, So probably not a lot of people with experiance with it. Enerzone Euromax has been out for a bit and we have a rep that hangs out here named fyrebug(https://www.hearth.com/talk/members/fyrebug.14803/). I'm sure he'll pop in soon!

Before you spend your hard earned cash, Have you spoken to Mike H. at Englander?

I think I have spoken to Mike a dozen or so times in the last 5 years as well as a few others, I have sent pic's and reset it more times than I care to remember. I know the stove has a good following and I have run just about pellet thru it, I just don't get the heat like others do, it's does have it's days when it just blows me out of the house but very inconsistent. I am very anal about keeping it clean/spotless inside and clean the blowers once a month, I have read where others have had the same problems, seems to be hit or miss, like when it blows heat out the left side(looking at it) but the right is just warm, an it is a clinker magnet for me, so I decided to move on after 5 years of playing with this thing.

Gotcha! ;)

Have you priced any of these units? Might want to check some others while your checking around. Harman is what these 2 units have tried to mimic IMHO. Also give the Enviro M55 a good look. Great no touch stove with amazing heat. Noway are they pellet picky either(leave that one up to you)! I have personally burned dirt in a bag with my stove(same guts as the M55) and she just eats em. Clinkers are just tossed into the ash pan and she keeps burning. Fun to go stove shopping as much as it is to go pellet hunting. I'd say go get a gander at em all if you can!

Wish you better luck with the replacement! Keep us posted and don't forget the pictures. ==c

hi 644.i recently picked up a vistaflame vf55 which is the same stove as the m55 just sold under a different name.give franklin fireplace a call in franklin mass and ask for rich.tell him you might be interested in a vf55 and if you can pay cash there is a substantial discount.they are marked $2500 on the floor and i took one home for $2000 .hope to get it installed this coming weekend.good luck with whatever you decide on

Kinderhook is also sort of new. But one thing is its made by Sherwood Industries. Same company that makes Enviro, Regency and VistaFlame stoves. Looks very similar to the Enviro Mini.

Off topic: But, I see that Hudson River now only has 2 units and both are made by Sherwood.

I have priced them out and looked at them good but there are no reviews on either, 2-2.5k for the kinderhook and 3-4k for the euromax, both seen decent but I would prefer not to end up with a 2500 dollar paper weight in a year :),, I have looked at Harmons but seem to over priced for me, looked at a few others but these stood out in terms of output and pellet hopper load. fairly simple to operate. I just wish someone who had either wrote about them

they dont have many left last i heard.these stoves have the upgraded convection blower and slide plate also.they come with the firebrick back wall so i ordered the optional cast iron kit.looks like an m55 to me now.its built like a tank.so far ive had an englander 25 pdv, enviro meridian and harman accentra all free standing stoves.i have no complaints on either one of those stoves which are all rated at 40k btu or so, just need something with a bit more horsepower and the fact that its a multifueler and has the agitator in the pot was a big made it a steal at $2k
