Was wondering when all the harman owners had to replace door and glass gasket?

I'm going in to my 3rd year with my Harman no replacement . There is a simple test called the "dollar bill test" place a dollar bill on the gasket close the door leave about half outside half inside when closed. With the door closed on the bill see if you can pull it out, yes you need a gasket no you're fine. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the form and happy burning!

Yeah I replaced my door gasket today it was bad I tried the dollar bill deal and it sliped rite out so I had a kit from lowes I got was pretty easy, I think im going to replace the ash door one also, my 68 is atleast 8 yrs old so it was time. Thanks for the welcome I used to be on here I just never redid my account after they changed the site . I have my first fire going now we will see how the timber heat pellets burn also!

I had my stove cleaned professionally for the first time this summer. The tech from the Harman dealer I bought it from did a thorough cleaning. I fully expected to need a new gasket since I just finished year 4 of burning. He said no, looks good. Going into my 5th year as a Harman owner and I am super impressed with this product!!!

I am also pretty happy with my harman as are two of my other buddies that are harman owners!
