I finally got this one c/s/s and measured. I will give you a little more info in that it was 117' from base to top and there was no rot. How many cords of primo hickory do you think I ended up with?

Nice! I'll guess 3.25

Wow - first off I'm jealous! Second, I'd say around 3 or possibly 3.5.

4-4.5 assuming you'll be using the branches as small as 2 inches.:)

NIe. High BTu wood there ;)
3.25 cords

i'm guessing 2-2.5

I am an engineer so I can calculate the exact amount of firewood in that tree. I see 40 ft of trunk averaging 2 ft diameter. That is 1x1x3.14x40 = 120 cubic feet of solid wood or 1.5 cords. I also see 40 ft of 1 ft diameter trunk which yields 0.5x0.5x3.14x40 = 30 more cubic feet or about half a cord. That means there are two cords plus half a cord of the small stuff gives 2.5 cords total.

3.25 cords

Bogeydave is our winner with my final total being 3.23 cord. Because you won you get the chance of a lifetime to join me on 10/13 to help chip all the brush!
