The city dropped off a load today; it's the first one I've ever asked for and it came 3 or four days after asking. What service! Ash and maple....

Cant beat that... I cant get anyone to bring wood to my house...it only seems to work the other way around...Im doing somethin wrong...:(

Awesome aa. Keep an eye out for nails, staples, etc... in them logs. Who knows how many yard sale signs, fluffy the missing cat, etc... could have been nailed on?

I really have a lot of wood right now...I'm probably three years ahead, but I'll heed Your advise and not turn it down. It's too easy!

Ill be borrowing a friend's saw tomorrow as a couple of logs are a bit large for my 250 stihl.

very nice i to never get wood dropped off...and seems im always dropping wood off to friends and family for free....alot of that looks like nice straight wood....one looks narly it may be a beast to split
 
I'd be happy to have that dropped off at my house! It usually doesn't work that way for me though!

I called the city park and rec and asked them for firewood! Apparently they are more than happy to get rid of it. Still working on splitting it up...
 
Wow thats great! Around here all you could get from a town employee is a summons, ticket or a fine.
